Introducing Ken Webster

After a heartbreaking last season, CB Ken Webster has picked up right where he left off.

He isn’t getting a lot of buzz as an NFL prospect due to Ole Miss’ poor performance this year, but Webster is a guy who could shock a lot of people when he suits up for an NFL team. The 5’11, 195 lb junior has been lights out all year. He finished with 16 tackles and 2 pass break-ups, despite not being totally healthy. Watching tape on him all year, don’t be surprised if you see him shutdown some of the league’s best wide receivers next year. Unfortunately, there are some questions regarding Webster’s off-field (was arrested for shoplifting early this year) and we all know how that bodes for prospects that are headed for the pros.

With all of this going on, it’s hard to imagine Ken Webster will be drafted in the first round, although I definitely think he is a first round talent. He will be considered a steal if he’s taken anywhere past the 2nd round, which is a pretty huge possibility as of right now. Earlier this season, I had only one cornerback ranked ahead of him and that was Florida State’s Tarvarus McFadden, but I can confidently move him up to #1 at this point.

-Needs to improve ball skills

-off-the-field problems

-Scouts still worried about ACL injury

Projected round: late 2nd round-early 3rd round
